Doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners and doctor assistants, your help is urgently needed. The National Association of Free Clinics is setting up this evening for a huge free medical clinic tomorrow from 8 am to 5 pm. The clinic will be in the Convention Center, halls I and J. It is completely free to uninsured people in this area. They are expecting 2,000 people to come Saturday and already 1,300 have registered. But it is important that you know that there will be no flu vaccinations given at this free clinic. This is a chance for people who can't afford regular care to see doctors. Along with the physical health, your psychological health may also decline if you have cancer, and you're a woman. A new study in the journal Cancer, finds that women are six times more likely to have their husbands leave them if the wife is the one to be diagnosed with cancer or multiple sclerosis. The divorce rate among cancer patients is nearly 12 percent, but it jumps to nearly 21 percent if the wife has cancer and is only close to 3 percent if the man has cancer. Doctors say in general men have a harder time adjusting to being a caregiver and taking care of the home and family. Early intervention might help couples.
