NEW ORLEANS -- The Archdiocese of New Orleans has released the following list of parishes, schools and entities that are hosting St. Joseph's altars this month:

ST. LOUIS CATHEDRAL, St. Anthony’s Garden, 700 block of Royal St. (behind the Cathedral): March 19, Blessing by Archbishop Gregory M. Aymond at 8 a.m., following the 7:30 a.m. Mass at St. Louis Cathedral. Public viewing from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., with reenactment of feeding the Saints at 11:30 a.m. Distribution of food from noon-3 p.m.
        
ANNUNCIATION, Bogalusa: Knights of Columbus Hall, 139 Cumberland St., sponsored by the Bogalusa Italian-American Cultural Society. March 19, viewing from 6-9 p.m. (wine and Italian cookies served),  and blessing by Father Patrick Collum at 7 p.m. followed by recitation of the rosary. March 20, viewing 10 a.m.-2 p.m., with rosary at 10 a.m. and feeding of the saints at 10:30 a.m., wine and cookies, and pasta Milanese.

ASCENSION OF OUR LORD, 1900 Greenwood Dr., LaPlace: March 19, 8:40 a.m. Mass, followed by blessing at 9:15 a.m. with public viewing to noon; reopens with Stations of the Cross at 7 p.m., viewing to 6:30-7:30 p.m.. March 20, viewing from 10 a.m.-noon; 4 p.m. Mass, with viewing from 3:30-5:30 p.m. March 21, Masses at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m., with viewing from 8:30 a.m.-noon.
The Ladies Altar Society will offer St. Joseph cookies for sale during viewing hours.

BLESSED FRANCIS SEELOS CHURCH, 3053 Dauphine St., New Orleans: March 18, viewing 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; March 19, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m., meals served at noon. Parish Hall parking lot. Call (504) 943-5566.

DE LA SALLE HIGH SCHOOL, 5300 St. Charles Ave., New Orleans: March 19, viewing 9 a.m.-6 p.m. in the school lobby. Blessing by Dominican Father John Lydon at 9:15 a.m. “Tupa, Tupa” Holy Family playlet, rosary at 11:30 a.m.

DIVINE MERCY PARISH,  St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 4121 St. Elizabeth Drive, Kenner. Blessing March 19 at 7:30 a.m. Public viewing after 9 a.m. school Mass until 5 p.m.  March 20, viewing 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (after 4 p.m. Mass).  March 21, before and after 8 and 10 a.m. Masses. Altar broken down after 10 a.m. Mass. Bags with cookies, holy cards, fava beans. Donations accepted.

GOOD SHEPHERD PARISH, St. Stephen Church, 1025 Napoleon Ave., New Orleans: March 19, blessing at 8:30 a.m. St. Joseph Mass, viewing until 6 p.m. Stations of the Cross, with meals at noon. (504) 899-1378.

HOLY CROSS HIGH SCHOOL, 5500 Paris Ave., New Orleans: March 19, blessing during 8:15 a.m. Mass, viewing from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

HOLY FAMILY CHURCH, 1220 14th Ave., Franklinton: March 19, 10 a.m., with blessing at 10:30 a.m., with viewing and meals served from noon to 2 p.m.

HOLY GUARDIAN ANGELS MISSION, 1701 Bridge City Ave., Bridge City: March 19 in the Msgr. Luminais Education Center, blessing after the 10 a.m. Mass. Viewing and meals 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

HOLY NAME OF JESUS SCHOOL, 6325 Cromwell Place, New Orleans: March 19, public viewing from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with blessing at 10 a.m.

IMMACULATE CONCEPTION (JESUIT) CHURCH, 130 Baronne St., New Orleans: March 17-19, viewing 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; blessing on Friday during the noon Mass after which the altar will close. Meals served March 19 in Lenes Hall after
the noon Mass and blessing.

MOUNT CARMEL ACADEMY, 7027 Milne Blvd., New Orleans (enter at marked gate): Sponsored by the Mount Carmel “Family” March 19 in the cafeteria. Blessing at 7:30 a.m., viewing until 6 p.m.

OUR LADY OF LOURDES, 345 Westchester Blvd., Slidell: March 13, blessing at 11 a.m., with viewing and meals served from noon to 5:30 p.m. For information or to donate, call Mary Leonard at (504) 577-0313.

OUR LADY OF PROMPT SUCCOR CHURCH, 531 Avenue A, Westwego: March 19, 11 a.m. blessing, viewing and meals until food runs out.

OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY CHURCH, HOLY ROSARY ACADEMY AND HOLY ROSARY HIGH SCHOOL, Vincent Hall, 1324 Moss St., New Orleans: Sponsored by the Greater New Orleans Italian Cultural Society. Viewing March 18, 9 a.m.-9 p.m.; March
19, St. Joseph Day Mass 11 a.m. followed by blessing, viewing 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; pasta Milanese served in the school cafeteria from noon to 2 p.m.

OZANAM INN, 843 Camp St., New Orleans: Sponsored by St. Patrick Church. March 19, viewing only from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. St. Joseph bags will be distributed to the public and blessed St. Joseph candles will be available
for purchase. All food on the altar will be given to Ozanam Inn to be distributed to the needy they serve. All monetary donations will also be given to the Inn.

ROCK ‘N BOWL, 3000 S. Carrollton Ave., New Orleans: Sponsored by the Catholic Young Adult St. Joseph Altar Society. March 19, public viewing from 2-7 p.m. 

SACRED HEART OF JESUS, Norco: Altar at the home of Tony and Clara Perret, 211 Mary St. March 18, viewing from 6-9 p.m.; March 19, viewing 10 a.m.-9 p.m., blessing at 10 a.m., meals at 1 p.m.

ST. ALPHONSUS, in St. Mary’s Assumption Church, 923 Josephine St. (corner Constance) , New Orleans: March 18, blessing at 4 p.m.; March 19, viewing begins at 10 a.m. Altar will break at 11:30 a.m. after which meals will be
served until runs out.

ST. ANSELM, 306 St. Mary St., Madisonville: Blessing March 13 following 4 p.m. vigil Mass. Public viewing and serving March 14, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. in St. Joseph Hall.

ST. AUGUSTINE CHURCH, 1210 Gov. Nicholls St., New Orleans: Blessing March 19 at 11:30 a.m., viewing from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with meals served from 11 a.m.-noon.

ST. BENILDE, 1901 Division St., Metairie: 4th annual altar, March 19, viewing from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. in school cafeteria. Blessing before viewing. Keepsake lucky beans and prayer cards and St. Joseph candles for a donation.

ST. CLETUS CHURCH, 3600 Claire Ave., Gretna: Sponsored by parish St. Joseph Altar Society in Jerome Hall. March 18, 5:30 p.m. rosary, blessing at 6 p.m., followed by 6:30 p.m. Mass, with viewing until 8 p.m.; March 19,
viewing, meals until run out 11:30 a.m.-7 p.m.

ST. DOMINIC CHURCH, 775 Harrison Ave., New Orleans: St. Dominic Rosary Altar Society hosting. Blessing March 18 8:30 a.m. (school Mass) and 5:30 p.m. (CCD students). Viewing March 19-21 from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. No meals served.

ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI, New Orleans: Parish altar will be at Talamo home, 520 Webster St. Blessing March 18, 6 p.m. Viewing to 7:30 p.m. Viewing, meals March 19 1-5:30 p.m.

ST. FRANCIS XAVIER, 444 Metairie Rd., Metairie: St. Joseph Altar Society sponsors. Viewing March 18, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. with candlelight rosary at closing; March 19, 9 a.m.-6 p.m., closing with rosary. Formal adult “Tupa Tupa”  after 8 a.m. school Mass. Meals March 19 in school cafeteria 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

ST. GERTRUDE, 17292 Hwy. 631, Des Allemands: Sponsored by parish Ladies Altar Society and St. Joseph Altar committee. March 14, blessing at 10:30 a.m., viewing to 4 p.m. Meals served from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST, 11345 St. John Church Rd., Folsom: Altar open March 18 from 5-7 p.m. and March 19 from 9-11 a.m.in Jonathan Hall, St. Joseph Mass at 11 a.m. in church, blessing at noon, followed by serving from the altar until 1:30 p.m. Visitors will receive cookies, fava bean and St. Joseph medal.

ST. JOSEPH, 610 Sixth St., Gretna: Altar located in gym at 7th and Newton streets. Sponsored by church, prepared by St. Joseph Women’s Club. March 18, 6 p.m. candlelight procession followed by 6:30 p.m. Mass, viewing to 8 p.m.;
March 19, solemn 10 a.m. Mass, procession and altar blessing, with meals being served from noon-6 p.m.

ST. JOSEPH CHURCH, 1802 Tulane Ave., New Orleans: March 18, viewing 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; March 19, viewing 8 a.m.-6 p.m. in the church, with blessing during the 12:15 p.m. Mass, meals served until food runs out in the Rebuild Center behind church.

ST. LUKE THE EVANGELIST, 910 Cross Gates Blvd., Slidell: Viewing in the Family Life Center March 18, 4-7 p.m. Blessing will be March 19 after 10 a.m. Mass in church, traditional meals served from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

STS. PETER AND PAUL, 66192 St. Mary Dr., Pearl River: 13th annual St. Joseph Altar in parish hall March 19, 10:30 a.m. blessing, traditional  “Tupa-Tupa,” viewing 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. After saints are fed, the public served beginning at 11:30 a.m.

ST. RITA SCHOOL, 194 Ravan Ave., Harahan: March 19, sponsored by St. Rita Home and School Association in the gym. Blessing 8 a.m. for students, parents. Public viewing 9 a.m.- 7 p.m.

WYNHOVEN HEALTHCARE CENTER, 1050 Medical Center Blvd., Marrero: March 19, public viewing 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Blessing March 18 for residents and their families. Donations, (504) 347-0777.

ST. FRANCIS VILLA, 10411 Jefferson Hwy., River Ridge: Altar prepared by residents of the assisted living community. Viewing March 19, 1:30-7 p.m.;  blessing 10:15 a.m. with children reenacting Holy Family. Keepsake bags with fava bean, cookies, prayer card will be distributed.

ST. JOSEPH PLANTATION HOUSE, 3535 Hwy. 18, Vacherie: March 19 and 20, public viewing from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admittance to the altar is free. Tours of house available. During the week of March 15-21, visitors named Joseph or Josephine are invited to tour the home free.

JACKIE AND JOSEPH MONACO, altar at 1008 Orchid Dr., Harvey, March 13, blessing at 11 a.m., viewing to 5 p.m. Offered in thanksgiving for grandson, Joel, born with a rare heart condition requiring heart surgery at 5 days of age and diagnosed with autism at age 3.

TOMMY’S WISH FOUNDATION, 1032 Avenue C, Westwego; blessing March 19 9:30 a.m., open to public March 19 and March 20, 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.  Altar is for Gabrielle Chiasson (Neuroblastoma patient) and Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
