NEW ORLEANS -- New Orleans police have identified a person of interest in the murder of a 41-year-old man in the Desire neighborhood earlier this month.

Labrando Williams, 37, is wanted for questioning in the murder of Eric Robinson, 41, who was found dead Jan. 7 in the 3700 block of North Rocheblave Street.

When police found Robinson's body, they had been responding to a call of a grass fire. When they arrived on the scene, they found Robinson's body in the grass. Police say he had been shot and set on fire.

Robinson and Williams were last seen on surveillance video just before 4 a.m. in the area of St. Ann and Dauphine streets in the French Quarter.

If you know where police can find Williams, call Crimestoppers at 822-1111 or Homicide Detective Gregory Johnson at 504-658-5300.
