ST. AMANT, La. - A Tuesday night accident in Ascension Parish left a nine-year-old and a seven-year-old dead.
Just before 10 p.m.,authorities said Raelyn Encalade, 28, drove off Stringer Bridge Road into a local bayou in St. Amant.
Encalade's two daughters and two of their friends were in the car.
Encalade and her daughters' friends survived, but her daughters, Faith Encalade and Patience Encalade, died on the scene.
Authorities say they do not believe the driver was impaired
