BATON ROUGE, La. -- Sen. David Vitter made quick work of a rumor beginning to circulate about a potential run for governor.
Vitter said he hadn't “spent 15 seconds focusing on that or thinking about that."
However, Vitter did not completely slam the door on the idea. Gov. Bobby Jindal will be term-limited and unable to run for governor in 2016. Vitter’s six-year term runs out in 2016 as well.
Vitter told the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday that he's focused on his "present job and responsibilities."
