2-year-old seriously injured in pedestrian accident

Officers with the Houma Police Department are investigating a pedestrian accident that left a two-year-old child with serious injuries.

It happened just after 7 p.m. on Friday, May 2.
According to police, 50-year-old Joan J. Henry was pulling into her driveway when she struck two-year-old Bryson Waguespack.
The child sustained serious injuries and was taken to Terrebonne General Hospital.
Police said Henry claimed she didn’t see the child in the driveway. Henry voluntarily submitted to a chemical intoxication test, with results showing her blood alcohol concentration was .000g%.
No charges have been filed.
Officers are continuing their investigation.
