St. Tammany deputy trainee charged with carnal knowledge of juvenile

A deputy-in-training for the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office was arrested on allegations that he had an illegal sexual encounter with a 16-year-old girl, according to Sheriff Jack Strain.

Theron Jolly, 19, of Slidell was booked into the St. Tammany Parish jail, which is where Strain said he had worked during his brief employment with the sheriff’s office.
Strain said Jolly was hired on April 24 and was in the process of completing his training.
According to Strain, deputies received the complaint last Friday and conducted an investigation that led to the arrest.
Jolly was fired from the sheriff’s office and booked with felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
