Slidell Memorial Hospital update

Slidell Memorial Hospital is beginning to gear back up operations as residents return to the area. The hospital's electrical power was restored Tuesday afternoon. SMH is open and providing emergency department services and some inpatient services. SMH will restore all services as soon as possible.
Many patients who were evacuated before the storm are being returned to SMH.
* Patients with previously scheduled procedures should call their physician's office or contact Scheduling at 985-649-8585 to verify whether that service is up and running at this time. For physician appointments, they may contact their physician directly to confirm.
*SMH's diagnostic imaging center MD Imaging reopens Thursday, Sept. 4. MD Imaging, located at 1495 Gause Blvd., will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for client appointments. Walk-ins are welcome. Call MDI at (985)405-5200 for information or to schedule an appointment.
*Physician Clinics (Pediatrics and Neurosurgery) will begin seeing patients on Monday, Sept. 8.
*The SMH Founder's Building operations are open.
**Patient locator web site: A web site has been established by the Louisiana Hospital Assocation in conjunction with federal officials, local and out-of-state hospitals to assist families in locating their family members: www.lapatienttrack.com.
