State and local leaders will celebrate the opening of the Fremaux Interchange in Slidell, a project two years in the making.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held 10:30 a.m. for the interchange at U.S. 190 Business North Service Rd. The State Transportation Department and St. Tammany Officials will be in attendance.

While this is the ceremony for the opening, the interchange itself opened to traffic last month.
