A teacher with the St. Tammany Parish school system has been arrested on charges of child pornography, St. Tammany Parish Sheriff Jack Strain announced Tuesday.
Anthony Ularich III
Anthony Ularich III, a teacher at Slidell Pathways School, was booked with 276 counts of pornography involving juveniles.
He was arrested last Thursday and is currently in the St. Tammany Parish Jail.
According to police, a call was received by a computer repair shop reporting pornographic photos on a customer’s computer that appeared to involve juveniles – this led police to obtain a search warrant and seize Ularich’s computer.
It was then turned over to FBI computer forensic examiners and a second search warrant was obtained for Ularich’s residence.
There investigators said they seized hundreds of digital images, dozens of video tapes, two computers, a digital camera, a scanner and other items.
Police said Ularich admitted to possessing the images – he was booked with 276 counts of pornography involving juveniles and police said other charges may be forthcoming.
If convicted, Ularich could face 10 years on each count.
