New Orleans police are investigating three overnight shooting deaths that happened within 30 minutes of each other.

Officers patrolling the Lafitte Housing Development in the 2400 block of Lafitte Street overheard gunshots just after 2 a.m. Saturday and later found a 20-year-old man lying on the steps of an apartment building. He had been shot several times and died at the scene.

Minutes before, police found a 23-year-old man lying on the ground in the 5200 block of Burgundy Street in the lower Ninth Ward. He also died at the scene.

And just before 2 a.m. Saturday, officers found a man who had been shot to death in the 400 block of South Solomon Street. The victim was lying on the steps of a house, where he had died.

Investigators are still searching for suspects in all three cases. Anyone with information should call Crimestoppers at 822-1111.
