Naturally N'Awlins Quiz: Local hangouts

06:03 PM CST on Friday, November 30, 2007

A:  This popular New Orleans hangout is at the end of Decatur Street, just down from Café du Monde, and next the street over from the French Market.  Folks will tell you that the clock there always has the same time—“5 o’clock.”  What is this hangout called?

B:  It’s the one place in the city were locals and tourists alike go to feed pigeons, chow down on beignets, revert to hippism, get religion, “sleep it off,” and take a look into their personal lives.  What is this hangout?

C:  This hangout is named after a former city father, not some celestial body.  It’s our answer to “the boardwalk” and it attracts musicians, lovers, derelicts, and everyone else who is Naturally N’Awlins.

D: This classic hangout uptown can be legitimately described as “The Spiritual Shrine” of the late, great “Professor Longhair.”

E: This is the New Orleans hangout in the heart of Mid City where you can hear zydeco and rockabilly music and where sometimes you can even rock and roll—and I mean that literally!—until well past 2 in the morning. Name this place.
