New Orleans Police have arrested a man they say ran over and killed his girlfriend’s father following an argument.

According to police, Thomas Henry IV turned himself in after the incident.

A police spokesperson said that Henry had an argument with his girlfriend over their kids. Following the argument he went to her parents’ home on Hayne Boulevard and Gannon Road.

The spokesperson said that when the girlfriend’s father began walking toward Henry’s car, Henry ran over him and drove off.

The father died at the hospital.

Henry is charged with second-degree murder.
