Ponchatoula Police Chief dead at 42

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office and officials at the Ponchatoula Police Department confirmed Sunday the death of Police Chief David Vitter.

A spokesperson for the Ponchatoula police department told Eyewitness News they received a call around 11 a.m. Sunday that Vitter had passed away at his home of what appeared to be natural causes.
Vitter was 42-years-old.
