New Orleans police were on the scene of the city’s latest murder Wednesday morning.

It happened in the Lower Garden District.

Police said the victim’s rental vehicle was sprayed with bullets near St. Mary's Street and kept moving, striking another vehicle before crashing into a nearby building at the intersection of Annunication and Felicity.

The victim was shot several times.

Police are currently trying to get leads from possible witnesses.
