The Kenner Police Department announced Monday the arrest of a Wisconsin high school teacher and softball coach on internet sex charges.

Michael Sprinkle

Police said 41-year-old Michael Sprinkle of Sussex, Wisconsin surrendered to authorities Monday morning and faces four counts of computer aided solicitation for sexual purposes, four counts of indecent behavior with juveniles and one count of pornography involving juveniles.

Police said back in August of 2007, Sprinkle solicited to have sex with a Kenner police detective who was posing as a juvenile in an online chat room.

Sprinkle allegedly also sent images of himself engaging in sexual acts over the computer.

If convicted, Sprinkle will be required to register as a sex offender and could face a mandatory two year prison term.
