Vacant Mid-City hospital set on fire

A vacant hospital on the border between Mid-City and Bayou St. John is the scene of a three-alarm fire, and the New Orleans Fire Department is on the scene.
Lindy Boggs Memorial Hospital, which has been shuttered since Hurricane Katrina, was set ablaze by vagrants, according to firefighters. The hospital is on North Jefferson Davis Parkway.
The fire is under control and firefighters are trying to clear the building for smoke.
