Authorities in Lafourche Parish are investigating a shooting that left three men dead and sent another to the hospital.
It happened just after 2 a.m. Monday in the 600 block of St. Louis Street in Raceland.
Authorities said three men were found inside a vehicle at that location – all were shot several times and died at the scene.
A pedestrian walking nearby was also shot several times in the legs. The 25-year-old victim was taken to St. Anne Hospital for treatment. He told police he was shot by someone in a dark colored SUV.
Several shell casings were found around the area and authorities believe the suspect(s) used an AK-47 assault rifle in the shooting.
The identities of the victims found inside the vehicle have not been released, however Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre said all three had a history of drug arrests.
Webre said authorities have not confirmed a motive, but they do believe the incident is drug related.
