Three arrested in Raceland triple killing

Sheriff credits assist from witnesses

Three men have been arrested in connection with the triple killing in Raceland early Monday morning.

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre credited assistance from local witnesses in making the arrests, which happened Tuesday morning with the aid of SWAT teams and more than 60 law enforcement officers from Jefferson and Lafourche parishes.

The arrested men included: Darrel Charles, 18, of Houma; Clifton Bell, 28, of Larose; and Percy Lee Folse, 37 of Raceland. The three men are charged with three counts of first degree murder and one count of attempted first degree murder.

Webre said the killings were the first case he can remember where three people were killed in Lafourche Parish in a single incident.

The three men fatally wounded were identified as Terry L. Hester, bm, age 22; Brad A. Bourda, bm,age 27; and Chauncy Adams, bm, age 30. No other weapons have been recovered at this time.
