Registration for schools in the Recovery School District begins Monday, July 10, RSD officials announced Thursday.

According to an RSD spokesperson, parents can register their children in the schools one of three ways: in person at one of the registration centers, online or by phone.

Three registration centers will be open at following locations:

--Benjamin Banneker Elementary, 421 Burdette Street

--Henderson Elementary, 1912 L. B. Landry Avenue

--Joseph S. Clark Senior High School, 1301 N. Derbigny Street

The centers will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the first day of registration. After that, the centers’ hours of operation will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mondays through Fridays; 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays; and open until 7 p.m. on Tuesdays.

Registration would be on a first-come, first-serve basis, according to Recovery District officials.

To register a child for a school, parents must submit proof of address, their child’s Social Security card, birth certificate, immunization record and Individualized Education Program, if applicable.

Parents can also visit www.nolapublicschools.net to register their child online or by calling 1-877-453-2721.

The first day for students attending RSD schools is September 7.
