The Westwego Bomb Squad diffused a dangerous situation early Tuesday morning.

Westwego Bomb Squad explodes two grenades.

Officials said that they received a call around 8 p.m. Monday after someone found two grenades while cleaning out a shed on Short Street.

Police believe that the grenades were training grenades, but added it appeared that someone may have put gun powder into one of them.

As a precaution, the grenades were removed and detonated.

No one was injured in the incident.
