Hustler publisher says he exposed Vitter's connection to D.C. madam

There were new revelations Wednesday in the scandal gripping Louisiana Senator David Vitter as the publisher of an adult magazine jumped into the fray.

Hustler Magazine publisher Larry Flynt

Wednesday, the publisher of Hustler Magazine claimed he exposed Vitter’s connection to the D.C. madam – Larry Flynt said he wants to reveal hypocrisy in Washington, since Vitter is a republican who ran on a family values campaign.

Monday night Vitter admitted to committing a sin after his phone number was linked to the so-called D.C. madam.

The next day, New Orleans’ Canal Street madam said Vitter was one of her customers in the 90s – although the local U.S. Attorney said Wednesday Vitter’s name never came up in their investigation of the brothel.

Vitter has yet to publicly deny any of the accusations, and Flynt said Wednesday he’s trying to get Vitter and other politicians out of office.

“I’m not exposing anyone’s sex life, I’m only exposing the hypocrisy,” Flynt said. “Republics are so fun, because they get caught so easily, they live repressed lives their whole life.”

Meanwhile, Vitter skipped at least three votes and committee hearings Wednesday - his office said Vitter was with his wife and would soon return to work.
