Police on the scene at the search for suspects in the Fountainbleau area of New Orleans.

Randy Richardson, 23, and Shawn Robinson, 22, were arrested by the New Orleans Police Department.

According to police spokesman Bob Young, officers tried to stop a car that had two men – one of whom fit the description of a murder suspect. Young said that when police tried to pull the car over, it took off and police picked up the chase.

Young said the two men eventually stopped and ran off on foot and several police units swarmed into the area.

At some point during the incident, police fired at the suspects. It is unclear if they were hit, but both men apparently suffered dog bites from police K-9s prior to being arrested.

The suspects were taken to the hospital.
