NEW ORLEANS -- She was young, wearing feathers in her hair, silver in her ears and nose, and New Orleans police are hoping someone will be able to tell them who the murder victim they found over the weekend is.

The department issued a plea for the public's help Monday.

Investigators say officers found the victim Saturday suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds to the head. The woman is white, 20 to 25 years old, 5-foot-4, 116 pounds, with dark colored long hair and light colored eyes.

Her hair was arranged toward her back in a "bun" and contained a long brown feather.

She was wearing a set of silver spiral earrings and a silver nose ring, a long sleeve shirt with green and tan horizontal

stripes and a tan skirt. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 504-822-1111.
