Seventeen students from Benjamin Banneker Elementary in New Orleans suffered minor injuries after a pair of buses that were taking them home from the Washington Parish fair were involved in an accident.

According to a spokesman with the State Police, one of the buses rear-ended the other on the ride home.

There were a total of 108 students on the two buses, 17 of them were taken to the hospital for what were described as minor injuries.

The spokesman said it appeared that all of them would be okay.
