According to Orleans Parish District Attorney Keva Landrum-Johnson, Robert Triana was previously convicted in Texas of child molestation in 1997 and felony robbery in 1995.

In November 2003, Triana and an accomplice, Steven Servin, met with undercover DEA Agents at a home in New Orleans East through a confidential informant for a drug deal. The agents testified that Triana and Servin agreed to sell them four kilos of cocaine worth $22,500 per kilo. New Orleans Police and DEA agents arrested the pair a short time later and found four kilos in the passenger door of Triana’s car.

Triana will be sentenced December 7, Landrum-Johnson said.

Meanwhile, Servin made bail and has not appeared in court since 2004, Landrum-Johnson said. He remains at-large.
