State Police: Four arrested in internet solicitation sting

Four men were arrested between December 17 and December 19 during a sting operation to catch internet sexual predators, the State Police said.

According to Sgt. Markus L. Smith, a State Police spokesman, the State Police Special Crimes Unit was joined in the operation by representatives from the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Internet Protection Agency.

The following men were arrested, according to Smith:

--Matthew Anderson, 29, from Denham Springs; charged with indecent behavior with a juvenile and computer-aided solicitation of a juvenile.

--Russell Cogan, 59, from Kentwood; charged with computer-aided solicitation of a juvenile.

--David Hoffman, 49, from Winona, Mississippi; charged with two counts of computer-aided solicitation of a juvenile.

--Tony Sinitere, 41, from Franklin; charged with computer-aided solicitation of a juvenile.

Smith said the group will continue its joint investigation and expects more arrests in the near future.
