The Benefits of Milk Reducing the Risk of Breast Cancer in Women
Calcium and vitamin D, normally present in sufficient quantities in milk, were credited with cancer-fighting properties, but another lesser-known compound was cited, as well.
Conjugated linoleic acid, or CLA for short, was found in considerably smaller amounts in women with breast cancer than those without it. CLA has been shown to block the local growth and spread of breast cancer in laboratory animals. Just be sure, when choosing which type of milk to drink, you select one that is low in fat.
Check
the labels for those that say 1% or 2% milkfat or skim milk,
which has none.
