NEW ORLEANS - Saturday’s wet weather put a damper on outdoor events across the metro area. None of the final acts at Jazz Fest performed because of the torrential downpour.
But Jazz Fest organizers said the festival will reopen as scheduled Sunday. They also said if anyone purchased tickets for Saturday, they will be valid again on Sunday.
Festival officials posted the following statement:
Jazz Fest is scheduled to open on Sunday, May 1.
All unused second weekend tickets will be valid for entry on Sunday.
Any purchased ticket that was used for entry on Saturday, April 30 will also be valid for entry on Sunday.
-Simply present the ticket scanned on Saturday at any pedestrian gate for re-entry on Sunday.
-For print-at-home tickets that are no longer in possession, customers can reprint the ticket via their ticketmaster.com account.
-For purchased hard tickets (Ticketmaster-branded ticket stock) that are no longer in possession, the customer should go to the box office at the Gentilly Blvd. or Sauvage St. ticket gates to verify their account (with proper ID and credit card used to purchase tickets), and the tickets will be reprinted.
-Tickets purchased from any unauthorized source that are no longer in possession will not be eligible.
Organizers do recommend checking their website, Facebook and Twitter accounts for the latest updates.
