Man killed in shooting at Algiers storage facility, police say

Police say, one man died after a gunshot wound to the chest.

NEW ORLEANS - Police say one man is dead after a shooting at an Algiers storage facility Wednesday night.

According to the New Orleans Police Department, the shooting happened in the 3500 block of Behrman Road just after 9 p.m. Wednesday. Officers arriving at the scene found a man lying in a loading area with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are still gathering evidence and information to identify a motive and the person responsible for the shooting.

The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will release the victim's name and cause of death at a later time.
