SULPHUR, La. (AP) — Fourteen-year-old Brittney Betrand says she cried when she couldn't get tickets to "American Idol" contestant Josh Ledet's concert May 12 in Lake Charles. Saturday, she was all smiles — one of 3,000 fans who got to hear Ledet at a free outdoor concert in Sulphur.
Ledet sang gospel music and songs made famous by Whitney Houston and Beyonce, as well as "Idol" fan favorites "When A Man Loves a Woman" and "It's a Man's Man's Man's World."
Sandra Abla told American Press (http://bit.ly/LnGtAF ) that she runs a Facebook group called "Team Josh Ledet." She says that when she heard about the concert on Friday, she immediately packed her car so she go to the concert straight from work. She arrived at 10:30 a.m. Saturday to nab a front-row seat.
