NEW ORLEANS (AP) — New Orleans police and the federal Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms have arrested a man for running a high tech marijuana growing business. They also confiscated $175,000 worth of pot.
Authorities said Friday that investigators seized more than 100 marijuana plants from a house that had been converted for growing marijuana. The estimated street value of the plants is $100,000.
The house was specially wired to accommodate 14 high-output lights needed to keep the marijuana growing.
Detectives found an additional $75,000 worth of pot at the home of 26-year-old Bill Vo.
Vo was arrested for possession of marijuana with the Intent to distribute, as well as cultivation of marijuana.
