The following organizations are accepting donations for relief efforts in Moore, Okla.:

St. Tammany Fire District #1

All St. Tammany Fire Dist. #1 stations will collect non-perishable food items that will be taken to Moore, Oklahoma. They are working in cooperation with a church in Norman, Oklahoma. They ask only for non-perishable food, that can include pet food and infant formula.

They are not collecting clothes, office supplies or other items.

Collection will run from Friday, May 24 until Friday, June 7.

Operation Nehemiah (New Orleans)
(group is raising funds to ship tractor trailers loaded with beds and other supplies, seeking volunteers to help pack)

If you want to send a $10 donation to the Disaster Relief fund via text message, you can do so by texting the word REDCROSS to 90999. You need to be 18 or older, or have parental permission.

The Humane Society is working with the City of Oklahoma City to assist the City of Moore to receive, assess and shelter animals, and are working to ensure that these animals receive necessary care as they find their way home

Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief

The Oklahoma Baptist Convention says says donations will "go straight to help those in need providing tree removal services, laundry services and meals to victims of disasters."
