ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La. – Authorities confirmed the drowning death of a 5-year-old boy around 8 p.m. Friday evening.
St. Tammany Fire District #1 spokesman Chad Duffaut said firefighters responded to a call on McCartney Court at 7 p.m. Friday night. The boy was taken to the hospital.
The St. Tammany Parish Coroner’s office said the boy died at the hospital. The child was identified as 5-year-old Isaac Robinson, St. Tammany Parish Coroner Dr. Charles Preston said.
Preston has ruled the death an accidental drowning.
