NEW ORLEANS -- We're getting a clearer picture about the frantic moments following Monday afternoon's crash involving an Amtrak train and a dumptruck in Tangipahoa Parish.

You can take a listen to the newly released 911 calls that came in seconds after the crash above.

The crash happened Monday afternoon on Hwy. 51 at the crossing to Diamond B Construction Company that's in between Independence and Amite.

200 passengers were on the train when the crash happened. Fortunately, no one was injured.

The driver of the dump truck wasn't as lucky. He was taken to the hospital where he's recovering from his injuries tonight.

Amtrak says the crash has not affected any of its other train schedules.
