COVINGTON, La. -- St. Tammany Parish is testing the air conditioning system at the Justice Center in Covington to calm employee concerns.

A spokesman says after Legionnaire’s disease, a severe form on pneumonia, contributed to the death of one employee, the parish called in DHH to investigate.

The agency’s report found no signs of spreading, and since the disease is not contagious, DHH says there’s no cause for concern among other employees.
