WATSON, La. (AP) - Livingston Parish sheriff's deputies have recovered two bodies from the Upper Amite River near Watson

Deputies say the two men likely drowned while tubing with a group of friends on Sunday afternoon.

Sheriff's office spokeswoman Lori Steele identified the victims as 26-year-old Joshua Caleb Brantley, of Hammond, and 26-year-old Philip H. White, of Marrero,

Steele says deputies began a search at about 2 p.m. Sunday following reports of two people missing who had been tubing on the river with about 10 other friends.

She says the bodies were recovered around 6 p.m. about a half mile from where they entered the waterway earlier in the day.

Autopsies will be conducted to determine cause of death.
