Body found in water near Robert E. Lee and Marconi

NEW ORLEANS -- A body of a man has been found floating in the water of the Orleans Avenue Canal, near the intersection of Robert E. Lee Bourlevard and Marconi Drive Friday afternoon, according to the NOPD.

Around 4:30 p.m. a jogger spotted a body in the water and police, said Office Garry Flot, a spokesman for the NOPD. Police arrived on the scene and contacted crews from thew New Orleans Fire Department to  recover the body from the water. 

The officials from the Orleans Parish Coroner's Official were called to the scene and found no identification on the man.  According to police, the body showed no signs of obvious trauma  The incident is being classified as an unclassified death at this time.
