BOGALUSA – Today, Washington Parish Sheriff’s officers arrested a man charged in the murder of two Bossier City women who were found shot dead in their home on Mother’s Day.
Officials with the Bossier City Police Department say they issued a warrant for 26-year-old Brandan Santrell Butler, from Bossier City, in connection with the homicides of 24-year-old Jacqueline Beadle and 26-year-old Karyl Ann Cox.
Police say officers were called to a residence in Bossier City just after 8 a.m. on May 11th after the mother of one of the victims found the two women dead inside of the home.
Thru their investigation police linked Butler to the crime. Police say Butler was friends with the two victims. Police say Butler shot both victims in the home and then fled in Cox’s car. Police found the car later in another part of the City.
Police were able to determine that Butler was in Bogalusa, La. Bossier Police contacted the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office. Officers were able to take Butler into custody this morning.
Butler will be extradited to Bossier City this week. His bond is set at $2 million.
