NEW ORLEANS -- Firefighters have sent a Hazmat crew to Mid-City after a truck leaked several dozen gallons of hydraulic fluid along a four-block area.

It happened near the corner of Canal Street and Carrollton Avenue, stretching from Carrollton Avenue to N. Solomon Street. Fifty to 60 gallons of hydraulic fluid were spilled.

Multiple state and local agencies are working to clean up the incident.

Lake-bound Canal Street, between Carrollton Avenue and N. Solomon Street, will remain closed until the clean-up effort is complete.

Officials haven't given an estimated time of completion.
