NEW ORLEANS -- New Orleans police removed a vehicle that drove into Bayou St. John Monday night.

The car went into the bayou near Wisner Boulevard and Harrison Avenue at about 9:15 p.m. A dive team arrived was called out to the scene before 8:30 a.m. Tuesday after calling off the search Monday night when conditions became too dangerous to continue the search.
