NEW ORLEANS, La. -- A recent report labeled Louisiana as the Nation's most corrupt state, if you count the rate of public corruption convictions of government officials in the last decade. Between 2002 and 2011, Louisiana convicted 403 government officials of crimes involving abuses of public trust.

The nation is now awaiting the outcome of former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin's corruption trial, as jurors could deliver a verdict Tuesday. If he's found guilty, will it cast a shadow on the ability to do business with this city?

Political power couple Mary Matalin and James Carville have a broad perspective on such issues, and join the Eyewitness News to talk about the Nagin trial, as well as their new book, “Love and War: Twenty Years, Three Presidents, Two Daughters, and One Louisiana Home.”

Mary Matalin and James Carville will be at Adler's on Canal Street Tuesday for a discussion and signing of their new book, "Love and War: Twenty Years, Three Presidents, Two Daughters and One Louisiana Home." It’s from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and for more information, call (504) 523-5292.
