HOUMA, La. – A cement truck in Houma landed in Bayou Terrebonne after a traffic accident Tuesday.
The accident happened near Main Street and New Orleans Boulevard around 11:10 a.m.
The driver of the truck, 25-year-old Deree Kendrick, tried to make a left turn at a “high rate of speed,” according to officials, and he lost control before the vehicle went into the water.
Kendrick was issued a citation for careless operation of a vehicle.
Kendrick was wearing a seat belt and did not suffer any injuries.
