NEW ORLEANS -- A City Park black swan who was attacked along with her eggs has left the vet and has returned to the water.

The swan, named “Amanda,” has been released to a private pond located on the Northshore.

Someone had injured Amanda in City Park in February and broken her six eggs.

She's been healing for the last few months under the care of a Metairie vet and is now healthy enough to leave.
