NEW ORLEANS - The city of New Orleans wants to remind residents of parking and traffic restrictions for this weekend's Southern Decadence parade.
Starting on Sunday at 1 p.m., the parade will form at Chartres and Barracks.
Beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 1, the parade will begin forming at Chartres Street and Barracks Street.
At 2:00 p.m., the parade will begin at 1239 Royal Street and proceed on Royal Street to St. Louis Street, turn right onto St. Louis Street and proceed to Rampart Street, turn right onto Rampart Street, proceed to Toulouse Street, turn right onto Toulouse Street, proceed to Burgundy Street, turn left on Burgundy Street, proceed to St. Peter Street, turn left on to St. Peter Street, proceed to Rampart Street, turn right onto Rampart Street, proceed to St. Ann Street, turn right onto St. Ann Street, proceed to Bourbon Street, turn left on to Bourbon Street, and proceed to Dumaine Street where the parade will disband.
Parking enforcement personnel will be monitoring for illegal parking, including blocking hydrants, driveways and sidewalks, or parking within 20 feet of a crosswalk, intersection or stop signs. Motorists are also reminded to park in the direction of travel on one-way streets, and with the right wheel to the curb on two-way streets.
