AMITE, La. -- Deputies extradited a contractor to Tangipahoa Parish where he will face charges of stealing nearly $200,000.

39-yeay-old Larry Wayne Dendy is accused of stealing more than $100,000 after getting paid to do construction on a family home. The funds, according to court documents, did not go towards the construction of a home or labor costs.

He also faces similar charges from another arrest last year, accused of stealing more than $84,000 from a construction company. Dendy allegedly failed to pay costs for materials on an apartment complex project in the Hammond area.

In both cases Dendy was doing business as Macon Construction LLC.

The Louisiana Board of Licensed Contractors is investigating and more charges may be on the way.
