NEW ORLEANS –  A jury found two cousins -- Bernell Pollard and Jamiron Pollard – guilty of second-degree murder in the shooting death of two-year-old Jeremy Galmon.

The jury deliberated less than two hours before reaching a verdict.  The Pollards were also found guilty on two counts of attempted second-degree murder.  For the murder charge, both face a mandatory sentence of life in prison.

In September of 2010, Galmon was sitting in a car near where a second line was passing when gunshots rang out. A bullet pierced the car's window and struck him in the face. He later died.

The verdict comes a day after another child, one-year-old Londyn Samuels, was a victim of violence.  Galmon was fatally shot near the intersection of First and Dryades streets in Central City, while Samuels was shot a few blocks away in the 2800 block of South Saratoga Street Thursday night.
