NEW ORLEANS, La. - Crimestoppers is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone with information that can lead to the arrest and indictment of the suspects wanted in connection with the shooting death of 1-year-old Londyn Samuels.

Londyn Samuels died after she was shot while on a walk with her babysitter Thursday night in Central City.

The babysitter, an 18-year-old woman, was shot in the back, but police said she's expected to survive.

The shooting happened at about 8:20 p.m. near the intersection of S. Saratoga and Washington Avenue.

Darlene Cusanza told Eyewitness Morning News on the phone, that the number of tips they have received at this point is very minimal and they are hoping for more tips as the day progresses.

Cusanza says that when a child is involved, the amount of tips usually increases dramatically, but in this case there have been very few.

In addition, Crimestoppers is matching the regular $2,500 reward to make the total reward $5,000.

Anyone with information on this case is urged to call Crimestoppers at 822-1111, or you can leave a tip through their website here.
