THIBODAUX, La. -- Crimestoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect in a Lafourche fatal hit and run.

The hit and run happened Sept. 8, along La 1 near Thibodaux.

Derek Rivere, 23, was last seen after drinking with buddies at G-Spot, a Thibodaux bar. He decided to walk back to company-owned dorms 35 miles away in Larose.

State Police say Rivere was struck on the way back by a vehicle in the 2300 block of La. 1. The driver never stopped to help.

For more information, read Tania Dall's report from last month on this story.

If you know any information that can help investigators, call Crimestoppers at 1-800-SHERIFF. You could be eligible for a $1,000 reward.
