Energy assistance for low-income families

There's a new push to help low income families pay for their energy bills, as Entergy employees and community activists, joined together to call for Congress and President Barack Obama to offer more funding for the low income home energy assistance program.

This money would help more low-income families pay their bills. The program only serves about 20 percent of those who are actually eligible for assistance. People who need help should call their local parish government office:
